Video - How To: Fit an Access Door to Spiral Ducting
Video Transcript:
"Hi guys, thanks for joining me!
For this video I will be showing you how to fit a circular access door into a section of ductwork. The access door is two galvanised pressed plates held together with the prefixed dome head screw and hand wheels - these are held apart with a conical spring in between the two for easy fitting.
The first job you need to do is mark out where the door needs to go. This can be done using the handy transfer sticker that comes with the pack. If however you haven't got that then you can take the door and mark around the exterior, and then put a second line approximately 15 to 20mm inside the first line. Then the hole can be cut using a cut saw, nibbler, jigsaw or tin snips.
Here is one I prepared earlier. To install the door, first you need to unscrew the hand wheels and then insert the door at an angle, slotting it through and then position it over the hole. Secondly, tighten the hand wheels to compress the neoprene gasket to get an airtight seal like so.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and share."
